Second Annual Raider Classic (Football)

Our Second Annual Raider Classic Pre-Season Football Tournament will be held August 16-17.  Last year we had 25 teams and played on three fields within walking distance of each other.  This year we are excepting to have a lot more team participate.  We are wanting to have at least eight teams per age group.

Age groups are 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12.  Birthday cutoff is August 1st.  No select or all-star teams will be welcomed.

Fees are $80.00 per team.  All fees must be paid before your first game is played. NO EXCEPTION.

Games

All teams will play two (2) games.  Games will be played at Tyner High School.  There will be certified officials on every field.  All first, second and third place teams will receive team trophies.  All championship games will have an offensive and defensive MVP for both teams. 

Deadline to enter is August 3rd.

Rules

1) 5-6 and 7-8 age groups will play 8:00 minute quarters with a running clock stopping with 2:00 left before the half and the end of the game.  9-10 and 11-12 age groups will play 10:00 quarters.

2) No nose guard except in 9-10 and 11-12 age group games.

3) No kicking. Ball will be spotted at the 30-yard-line and punts will be walked off thirty (30) yards.

4) Two overtimes will be allowed.

5) Two timeouts per half.

6) 5-6 age group: 70lb weight limit on ball carriers; 7-8 age group: 90lb weight limit on ball carriers; no weight limit on ball carriers in the 9-10 and 11-12 age groups.

Second Annual Bring It On Competition (Cheerleading)

The Second Annual Bring It On Cheerleading Competition will be held on October 4 at Tyner High School.  Last year was a great success.  If you thought the movie was good, you have not seen with the youth leagues have to offer.  This event was talked about on local radio stations for weeks after it was over.

Ages: 4 to 12 years.  Birthday cutoff is August 1. No one over the age of 12 years. No select or all-star teams will be welcomed.

Fees: $40.00 per team.  All fees must be paid by September 26. NO EXCEPTION.
